{"id":1138,"date":"2010-01-10T06:35:23","date_gmt":"2010-01-10T06:35:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.odpem.org.jm\/?post_type=odpem_in_the_media&#038;p=1138"},"modified":"2019-08-22T14:34:48","modified_gmt":"2019-08-22T14:34:48","slug":"earthquake-felt","status":"publish","type":"odpem_in_the_media","link":"https:\/\/www.odpem.gov.jm\/?odpem_in_the_media=earthquake-felt","title":{"rendered":"Earthquake Felt"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management (ODPEM) has been advised by the Earthquake Unit that an earthquake of magnitude M7.0 (USGS report) and a focal depth of 10km was located in the Haiti region, near Port-Au-Prince at 4:53 pm, Tuesday, January 12, 2010.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reportedly felt in:\u00a0<br>Liguanea, Barbican, UWI, Half \u2013Way \u2013Tree, Heroes Circle, Kingston\/St Andrew, Seaforth, St Thomas, Annotto Bay, St Mary, Hope Bay, Portland<br>\u00a0<br>A Tsunami Watch has been issued by the Pacific Warning Centre for Haiti, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, and the Bahamas. Whilst a watch has not been issued for Jamaica a Tsunami Advisory has been issued for the region.
